Maria Brodeur

Maria Brodeur is an accomplished actor and member of SAG-AFTRA whose extensive experience spans the New York/New Jersey theatre scene, and the Los Angeles film and TV industry. Her acting range, whether in dramas, comedies or musicals, runs the gamut from sultry femme fatale (Myra Bruhl in Deathtrap), to campy, cheerful housewife (Judy Denmark/Ginger Del Marco in Ruthless, the Musical), to proper Edwardian lady (Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins, the Musical), to manipulative medieval queen (Eleanor in The Lion in Winter).

A talented, trained professional singer, Maria’s also appeared in a myriad of musicals and concerts produced in Equity and regional theatres. Venues in which she’s performed include the Papermill Playhouse, McCarter Theatre, The Bickford Theatre, Luna Stage, The Growing Stage, Chatham Players, Chester Theatre Group and The Barn Theatre, among others.

In addition to her onstage experience, Maria benefits from many years of education in the craft of theatre. She holds a BA in Theatre & Education from Douglass College, Rutgers University, and studied Meisner Acting Technique in NYC with Kathryn Gately. In LA, she’s studied with veteran director, Henry Jaglom.

After years of performing on the east coast, Maria has relocated to Los Angeles, where she now resides with her husband.
